Difference Between iCodes and Network Feeds

All Categories > Tutorials

iCodes feeds are tidied, categorised and standardized network feeds.

Each network has their own format, iCodes standardizes all these formats into a single format.

All network feeds are run through an automatic tidying process before the manual tidying process is started.

Network feeds generally do not include a title field, iCodes creates a title for each offer.

Network feeds sometimes include the code or expiry date in the description fields, iCodes removes these and places them in the correct fields.

Network feeds sometimes include duplicate and expired deals, iCodes removes such deals.

Network feeds sometimes include descriptions meant for affiliates and not visitors, iCodes removes such content.

Network feeds sometimes include poor formatting and invalid characters, these are removed by iCodes.

Network feeds sometimes include codes in offer feeds and offers in code feeds, these are corrected by iCodes.

Network feeds sometimes contain data in incorrect fields, this is corrected by iCodes.

Network feeds sometimes contain "No Code Needed" deals in Codes feeds, these are removed by iCodes.

Network feeds sometimes contain useless content passed off as offers by the merchant, iCodes removes such junk.

Although iCodes does not manually check each code and offer to see if they are actually genuine, each code and offer is manually edited one by one, and any obvious invalid deals are trashed.
